The Mathematics teachers of DCTs Vasantrao Dempo H.S.S. of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, Mrs. Shraddha Prabhu, Mrs. Darshita Chari, Mrs. Swati Dessai and Mrs. Ashwini Sawant attended four days workshop organized by SCERT on the topic ‘Connecting Mathematics with Real Life Situations’ from 20th to 23rd November 2023, at Conference Hall, SCERT, Porvorim-Goa .
The Resource Persons were as follows :
- Day 1: Morning session by Dinesh Jalmi and Gyaneshwar Faldessai on the topic “Empower Teaching using Digital Resources”.
- Day 2 : Morning session by Dr. Jerwin Zen Lobo on the topic “Tips and Tricks in Mathematics (Trigonometry) and evening session by Dr. Saurabh Trivedi on the topic “Pigeon Hole Principle and Problems”.
- Day 3 : Morning session by Dr. Jerwin Zen Lobo on the topic “Tips and Tricks in Mathematics ( Calculus )” and evening session by Dr. Gopal Pradhan on the topic “ NEP 2020”.
- Day 4 : Morning session by Dr. Saurabh Trivedi on the topic “Combinatorics (Problems)” and evening session by Dr. Vaishali Sharma on the topic “Discussed how to relate various topics in Mathematics with real life examples”.
The workshop was enlightening, refreshing and fruitful for all the teachers.
