On 22nd September 2022,  DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira organized the following activities  as a part of “Rashtriya Poshan Maha” and Students Development Program in Biology subject.

  1. Nutritional and medicinal plant exhibition named ` ROP-VATIKA` was held in Biology Laboratory.  120 plant  were displayed and visitors were informed about  their nutritional and medicinal value.
  2. In the healthy tiffin contest which was organized in the school Library,  Students and their mothers prepared healthy meals.  Overwhelming participation was seen in the above event. 26 different healthy recipes were displayed. Judges for the Healthy Tiffin competition were parents of std. XII Science students.
  3. Beautiful hand made posters on the theme `Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi` were made by students. These posters were displayed in the school library. The aim of poster display was to spread awareness about healthy eating habits.
  4. Students displayed hand made banners with slogans in the school library which is frequently visited by students  the motive of the event was to spread awareness about developing healthy eating habits.

Teachers from Department of Chemistry, Physics and Geology were in-charges of the poster and slogan displays.

Teacher from Department of Biology were in-charges of the Nutritional and medicinal plant exhibition and healthy tiffin contest.
