On 12th August 2022, DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira celebrates National Librarians’ Day on the Birth Anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, Father of Library Science at 10.15 am in our school Library.
The function started with garlanding the portrait of Dr. Ranganathan by our Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar.
Senior Librarian Mrs. Vidhya Joshi gave a speech on Dr. S. R. Ranganathan and his 5 laws of Library Science.
Our Principal motivated and enlightened the teachers and students on the importance of reading books and newspapers.
Tr. Amelia Barreto, Tr. Sanjay Naik, Tr. Maya Sardessai and Tr. Chetan Kavlekar shared their views on the importance of Library and the various activities that will be conducted during the academic year 2022 -23 to highlight the importance of library.
