Teachers of the Marathi Department of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School, Cujira- Santa Cruz organized Marathi Bhasha Divas on 1st March 2023. Every year this day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of late Kusumagraj, renowned poet in the field of Marathi literature.
The chief Guest for this function was the Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar and Guest of Honor was the Vice Principal, Ms Minaxi Mudaliar. Marathi Teachers Shri Nivruthi Naik and Akshata Naik were also present on the dais.
The program commenced with the welcome dance. Principal addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of this day.
On this occasion a wallpaper was inaugurated at the hands of chief guest and Guest of honor.
Various literary activities were also organized for Marathi students of the institution.
Teacher Shri Nivruthi Naik spoke on topic importance of language in life and history of Marathi language in Goa.
The students of Arts, Science & Commerce participated in the program.
Student Rukma Fadke from XI Arts was the Comperer and Vote of thanks was proposed by Teacher Akshata Naik.
