On 15th August 2022, DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira celebrated the 75th Independence day under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav event in the school.
The celebration began with hoisting our National Flag at the hands of Prof. Vinay Bapat and our Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar.
The programme was followed by a Formal Function in the A.V room which was compered by Tr. Tulsi Bhomkar.
A welcome song was presented by our students.
Our Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar welcomed the guest, Professor in Marathi Mr.Vinay Bapat from Goa University for the function.
Miss. Ananya Apte and Miss. Mrugana Savaikar gave a speech on the importance of Independence Day in our lives.
Class wise Patriotic Singing competition was held followed by a skit and a dance on Patriotism.
Prize distribution ceremony for the singing competition was held.
Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar presented a memento to our chief guest Prof. Vinay Bapat.
Vote of thanks was presented by our Vice Principal, Miss. Minaxi Mudaliar.
