Republic day celebration was held in DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira on 26th January 2024.
Prof. Mr. Aditya Watve, History Teacher of Dhempe college of Arts and Science, Miramar was the Chief Guest for the function.
The Chief Guest was welcomed by Principal Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar. Unfurling of the flag was done by the Chief Guest.
For the first time, our NCC Naval Wing Cadets welcomed the Chief Guest with March past under the guidance of NCC Navy Wing officer Mr. Vishal Bhandari. Cadet Captian Pratith Joshi commanded the Dempo Naval Contingent. Nirikshan of Cadets of Dempo Naval contingent done by Chief Guest and Principal Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar.
In On stage event, our Principal Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar welcomed the gathering.
Mrs. Darshita Chari sang the welcome song with her sweet and melodious voice.
Mast. Swapnil Patil, Mr. Sanjay Naik and Mr. Utkarsh Dhawaskar gave speeches on the importance of Republic Day.
Prize distribution was held for different competition in Hindi namely Elocution competition, Collage competition, Essay writing competition and Self written poetry competition.
Our teachers Mr. Ajay Joshi, Mrs. Antima Satarkar, Mrs. Supriya Angle, Mrs. Aparna Mourya and Mr. Rajesh Korgaonkar sang ” Mile sur mera Tumhara” in different languages.
The entire Program was done in Hindi language which was appreciated by all the PTA members, Teachers and Students who were present for the function.
Mr. Aditya Watve gave the importance of the day and throw light on its formation.
Miss. Himani Dhuri of XI Science compered the program and Miss. Supravi Govekar of XI Science proposed vote of Thanks.
