77th Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2023 in DCT’S Vasantrao Dempo H.S.S. of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira.
A Tiranga rally followed by Flag hoisting was held.
The Chief guest for the Independence Day celebration was Mr. Anant Joshi, Ex-Serviceman.
Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar welcomed our guest for the day and Vice Principal, Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar introduced our guest.
PTA President, Mr. Mahesh Revankar and PTA members were also present on the occasion.
The programme commenced with a welcome dance followed by events such as patriotic singing sung by students and teachers (Tr. Shubhada and Tr. Darshita) and speech on patriotism by students in English and Hindi.
The prize distribution ceremony for inter-class rangoli competition was conducted by Tr. Toshita.
The programme was compered by students Miss. Shifa and Miss. Anisha.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Tr. Ashwini.
Teacher in-charge was Students Council in-charge Tr. Antima Satarkar and other Students Council members.
