Guru Purnima followed by Student’s Council Investiture Ceremony, Installation of the NSS Unit, YRC Unit, the Red Ribbon Club and Release of the Annual Calendar was held in the A.V room of DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira from 10.30 am onwards on 3rd July 2023.

Chief Guest was Prof. Dr. Manoj Kamat, Principal of S.S Dempo College of Commerce, Cujira – Goa.

Administrator, Mr. Rajesh Bhatikar, Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar, Vice Principal, Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar and Students’ Council Teacher In-charge Mrs. Antima Satarkar graced the occasion with their presence.

A Welcome dance was performed by Miss. Aakanksha Bakhale, song on NSS was sung by NSS volunteers, Poem on Guru Purnima was recited by Miss. Avni and Speech on YRC and Red Ribbon club were given by Miss. Trisha and Mast. Shelbon respectively.

Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar shared her words of wisdom on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

Vice Principal, Ms. Minaxi Mudaliar introduced the chief guest for the day.

Tr. Prachi Alavani compered the Guru Purnima programme, Tr. Toshita Raikar compered the Student’s Council Investiture Ceremony, Tr. Utkarsh Dhawaskar compered the Installation of the NSS Unit, Tr. Shubhada Bandodkar compered the Installation of the YRC unit, Tr. Indira Narvekar compered the Installation of the Red Ribbon club and Tr. Siddhi Naik compered the release of the Annual Calendar.

Tr. Maya enlightened us about the importance of Students’ council.

Principal, Mrs. Surekha Kelkar administered the oath for the Class representatives and Asst. Class Representatives of std. XI and XII.

The following students were chosen as representatives for various posts:

  • Ladies Representative – Miss. Kavina Fernandes
  • Cultural Secretary – Miss. Frederica Fernandes
  • Literary Representative – Miss. Lisa D’Silva
  • Canteen Representative – Miss. Angel Cunha

Chief Guest was Prof. Dr. Manoj Kamat, shared his words of wisdom in inculcating good values to become a good human being.
