On 26th January 2023, Republic Day was celebrated in DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira.
The 74th Republic day celebration was held at the school premises. The Principal unfurled the Tri Color at 8.15am in the presence of the Vice Principal, Teaching and Non-Teaching staff and students.
At 8.40am Republic day celebration Programme was held in the A.V room in the presence of Chief Guest, Principal, PTA President, Vice Principal, staff members with students.
At the onset, Principal welcomed the Guest and the gathering. National integration song was sung by the students to welcome the Guest. Miss Swaran Lawande, Tejasvi Naik , Avin Desai presented their speeches along with senior teacher Maya Sardessai on the importance of Republican day.
The Chief Guest Shri Dattaprasad Shirgurkar , Asst. Professor from MES college, Zuarinagar in his address stressed on the importance of Republic day, democracy and the difference between democracy and republic, its rights and duties and privileges laid down in the constitution.
Intra school essay competition prizes were distributed at the hands of the Chief Guest.
The whole Programme was compered by Mr. Chetan Kavlekar while Mr. Vishal Bhandari proposed the Vote of Thanks.
