On 15th July 2022, the chieftains Martyr’s Day was observed which marked the first revolt against Portuguese rule by offering tributes at the National War Memorial, which was an annual event in the National Capital.
Union Minister Shri. Shripad Naik, the Lok Sabha member from North Goa led delegation comprising Rohidas Desai, a Freedom Fighter of Goa Liberation and officials from the State Government Mr. Sanjay Naik from our school, DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, an Executive Officer of Goa Board, Mr. Nagesh Sardesai, Mr. Santosh Malik and Mr. Ashok Naik were also present in offering tribute at the National War Memorial.
As a mark of respect to the Freedom Fighter of India, the State of Goa has paid homage to the brave hearts on 15th July 2022 at National War Memorial at New Delhi.
The Government of Goa has deputed Mr. Sanjay Naik from from our school, DCT’s Vasantrao Dempo HSS of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, to be a part of the Goan Delegation.
